Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Seated Courtside (“Courtside,” “we,” or “us”), the ticket alert service at seatedcourtside.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What we do
Courtside watches ticket inventory from official marketplace partners (SeatGeek, Ticketmaster, AXS, and others) and emails you when a listing matching your saved criteria becomes available. We are not a ticket seller. When you click through a Courtside alert, you complete your purchase on the third-party marketplace under their terms.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts are managed through Clerk, our identity provider. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for all activity under your account. Keep your contact information current so alerts reach you.
3. Subscriptions and payment
The free tier lets you track one game at a time. The Premium tier is $109.99 per year and lets you track up to ten games at a time. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your dashboard (Manage Subscription → Cancel). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep Premium access until then. We don't issue prorated refunds for partial periods. Refund disputes for unusual circumstances can be directed to hey@seatedcourtside.com.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything other than personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our data, alerts, or price history.
- Create multiple accounts to bypass free-tier limits.
- Interfere with the service or attempt to access other users' data.
- Use the service to violate any law or marketplace terms of use.
5. Third-party marketplaces
Courtside surfaces inventory from third-party marketplaces. We don't control listing prices, availability, seat quality, delivery, or cancellations. Inventory can disappear between the moment we detect a listing and the moment you click through — this is common for playoff games and other high-demand events. All purchases and refunds are the marketplace's responsibility, not ours.
6. No warranties
The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee that alerts are exhaustive, that listings are available when you click, that prices shown are final (fees and taxes may apply at checkout), or that the service will be uninterrupted. Seat-zone classifications (“Courtside,” “Lower bowl,” etc.) are our best-effort interpretation of each arena's section numbering; verify seat location on the marketplace before purchasing.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Courtside's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — including missed tickets, sold-out listings, or price changes.
8. Termination
You can delete your account anytime from your Clerk profile. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or charge back valid payments without contacting us first. On termination, your watches and alert history are deleted.
9. Changes to these terms
We'll update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email to active subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
10. No affiliation
Seated Courtside is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any sports league, team, arena, ticket marketplace, or their trademarks. Team names, logos, and venue names are the property of their respective owners and used under fair use to identify events.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
